Orion Mesh Blockchain Network – Nowhere to Hide

Alex note to the reader: It may seem like Synavate Labs is just throwing all the buzziest of the buzzwords at this that it can. Sometimes it feels like that to me too, but my experience with the various technologies compels me to try. If you are of this belief and have a simpler way we want to speak with you. If you have distributed, decentralized network architecture and development experience we’d also like to speak with you.

The cyber threat intelligence landscape is becoming increasingly complex. Threats are launched almost continuously from a variety of threat actors across the world. As part of Synavate Labs Orion integrated system we propose the “Orion Network” as a critical component of the ecosystem. The Orion Network will have eyes at all Nodes that instantaneously and securely communicate using (at this stage) an experimental NEAR Protocol based solution. An upgrade to our Autonomous Threat Intelligence Platform. It’s not just any update; it’s a complete reimagining of how threat detection can be more dynamic, decentralized, and instantaneously effective. Let’s dive into what this means for modern cyber threat intelligence and Defensive Artificial Intelligence (well, offensive-defensive but we don’t talk about that 🙃 )

Why Go Mesh?

In the complex and fast-paced realm of cybersecurity, staying ahead of threats requires not just speed but also precision and adaptability. That’s where our new mesh network comes in. Unlike traditional linear networks, our mesh architecture allows data to crisscross between nodes seamlessly. This means we can detect and respond to hotspots and cyber threats faster than ever before. Each node operates independently yet cooperatively, pooling their data and insights to create a comprehensive view of potential security breaches—think of it as a dragnet, but on a global scale.

Each of our nodes (Hunters/Scanners) will have their own unique, verified address on the NEAR protocol blockchain and these will be under the custody of an organisation large or small. This organization will have it’s own security posture and configuration of CIDR ranges that it is concerned with (public facing). In addition the Orion Platform will have continuous threat intelligence updates from officail threat-intelligence feeds and collective intelligence gathered through the network’s operation.

Powered by NEAR Protocol

Why NEAR, you ask? Well, it’s simple. NEAR offers a scalable, user-friendly blockchain solution that makes it ideal for supporting a mesh network like ours. NEAR has deployed some of the highest volume blockchain solutions in the world and it’s mission is to scale to a billion users. With NEAR, each node is uniquely identified and securely verified, ensuring that every piece of data in our network isn’t just a drop in the ocean but a significant ripple.

Smarter with Smart Contracts

Our platform isn’t just about collecting data; it’s about making that data work smartly. By integrating NEAR’s smart contract capabilities, we automate complex operations and interactions within the network. This automation means our system isn’t just reactive; it’s proactive, managing threats efficiently and securely without constant human intervention.

Uncompromised Security

With great power comes great responsibility. We’ve baked robust security measures into every layer of the network to protect against malicious activities and ensure the integrity of data communication. From advanced encryption methods to continuous security audits, as well as responsible deployment and regular audits we are committed to shielding your digital assets against any cyber adversary.

Deployment

Before going live, we will put our Mesh Blockchain Network through rigorous testing to ensure it is battle-ready. Deploying first on the testnet and then mainnet. With the support of our partners and Open Source PyTorch adversarial frameworks we will simulate real-world scenarios, including various attack vectors and stress conditions, to ensure our network could handle whatever was thrown its way. Ultimately seeking a security audit from official companies and SOC compliance as an organisation as a whole. As a cybersecurity company the safety of data at rest and data in transit is of utmost importance.

What’s Next?

As cyber threats evolve, so will our strategies. This new mesh network isn’t just a solution; it’s a stepping stone to more innovative cybersecurity tools and services. We’re already exploring additional enhancements and features that will further secure and streamline threat intelligence.

Feel free to reach out if you want to learn more or contribute. We need your engineering firepower (and good taste in music) to make this a reality.
